Ground under repair markers
Ground under repair is marked by white lines or blue stakes; laid turf and gravel-filled drainage trenches are also ground under repair without marking.
Out-of-bounds markers
Out of bounds is marked by white stakes or white lines; where both exist, the line takes precedence.
Powerline interference
If it is known or virtually certain that a ball struck an on-course powerline or its mast, the stroke does not count and the player must replay from the previous spot without penalty.
Marked no-play zones
Areas marked by green-headed stakes, blue stakes or marked plantings are no-play zones; relief under Rule 16 or 17 is required.
