Sandy waste areas, including areas beside East Course wetlands, remain general area.
Drop zones
Designated white-lined DZ rectangles or blue-stake drop zones may provide additional relief.
Protected trees and shrubs
Staked or guarded trees and shrubs are no-play zones and GUR; free relief is mandatory.
Fixed sprinkler heads
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions with free relief under Rule 16.1.
Obstruction near putting green
Relief may apply for an obstruction within two club-lengths of the green and ball when it intervenes on line.
Artificial roads and paths
Artificial roads and paths, including gravel paths, are immovable obstructions.
Gardens
Gardens beside the 1st Tee West, clubhouse and professional shop are no-play zones/GUR with mandatory relief.
West Course maintenance facility
The West Course maintenance facility is a red penalty area/no-play zone; relief is with penalty or designated drop zone.
Exposed tree roots
Exposed roots or sanded root-removal areas on the fairway are GUR with free relief.
East Course red penalty areas
A provisional ball may be played when there is doubt whether a ball is in or lost in an East Course red penalty area.
Turf nurseries
Turf nurseries are no-play zones/GUR with mandatory free relief.
Suspension of play
One long siren means dangerous-situation suspension; three blasts means other suspension; two short blasts resume play.
