Red penalty area beside hole 13
The red penalty area on the right of hole 13, beginning from the 150 marker, is defined on one side only and extends infinitely.
Course marking colours
White marks the course boundary, yellow marks yellow penalty areas, red marks red penalty areas, blue marks ground under repair, and blue-green marks no-play zones.
Ground under repair
Areas identified by blue stakes or otherwise marked as ground under repair are abnormal course conditions with free relief under Rule 16.
Animals near the ball
An animal not defined as a loose impediment may be moved; if the ball moves there is no penalty and it must be replaced.
Internal out of bounds between holes 14 and 15
Internal out of bounds marked by white stakes between holes 14 and 15 applies when playing either of those holes.
No-play zones
Areas marked by blue stakes with green tops are no-play zones treated as ground under repair; relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f.
Power line replay
If it is known or virtually certain that the ball hit a power line while playing holes 9, 13, 14 or 15, the stroke must be replayed from the previous spot under Rule 14.6.
Gravel drainage and exposed rock
Gravel-covered drains on the general area, and exposed rock or embedded stones on a closely mown area, are ground under repair.
Internal out of bounds between holes 13 and 14
Internal out of bounds marked by white-black stakes between holes 13 and 14 applies only when playing hole 13; when playing hole 14 the stakes are immovable obstructions under Rule 16.
Bunker washouts
Deep channels in bunkers caused by running water washing away sand are ground under repair.

Major Risks
Protected areas Biotopes and no-play zones can remove the direct line and require rule-based relief. Boundary holes Out of bounds affects holes 9, 10 and 13–18, including roads and paths on 17 and 18.
