Local Rules
Out of bounds
Out of bounds is beyond white stakes or lines, course boundaries, walls and fences, with additional locations identified on the scorecard.
Penalty areas
Penalty areas are identified by red or yellow stakes/lines; ponds and sluices are yellow, while concrete sluices, ditches, stone channels, ponds, drains and furrows are red unless otherwise marked.
Electric fences
If an electric fence interferes with play, nearest point of relief may be taken and the ball dropped within one club length, not nearer the hole.
Abnormal course conditions
White-lined areas, flower beds and artificially surfaced roads and paths are abnormal course conditions; natural or dirt roads must be played as they lie.
