Ground under repair
White-lined areas are ground under repair; relief is optional, but play is prohibited from newly turfed or seeded areas and marked plantation areas.
Out of bounds
Out of bounds includes the course boundary, specified internal boundaries at the 9th, 10th and 11th holes, marked areas behind the 12th and 18th greens, practice-ground crocodile teeth, and designated car parks.
Penalty areas
Penalty areas are defined by red or yellow stakes.
Staked trees
A young tree identified by a stake, rabbit guard or tape is protected; if it interferes with stance or intended swing, the ball must be lifted and dropped without penalty under Rule 16 procedure.
