Local Rules
Drainage ditches
Grass-covered drainage ditches and run-off areas alongside fairways are general area, not penalty areas; temporary-water relief follows the stated Rule 16.1c procedure.
Hole 16 drop zone
For a ball in the penalty area in front of the putting green, a drop zone left of the teeing area is an additional relief option.
Preferred lies
A ball in the fairway may be placed once within one club-length, not nearer the hole.
Integral parts
All non-artificially surfaced roads and paths, barbed wire attached to boundary fences, and all course fencing are integral parts.
Embedded ball and tree roots
Embedded-ball relief has exceptions for sand in non-closely-mown general area; exposed roots in the fairway or within four club-lengths of its edge allow free relief, but stance-only interference does not.
Out of bounds
Beyond boundary fences or white stakes, white boundary lines, railway reserve fences, clubhouse/car park, the paved path around the 18th green, and cement ramps/subways on holes 6, 7 and 16 is out of bounds.
No-play zones
White-staked trees, the turf nursery between the 5th and 6th fairways, and gardens are no-play zones; additional garden drop zones are left/behind the 6th green and behind the 16th green.
Ground under repair
GUR includes GUR signs/white paint, irrigation workings, the practice bunker right of the 18th green, new re-sodded areas and temporary water in the general area.
