Abnormal ground and path treatment
Paved or gravel-traced paths are immovable obstructions; specified posts, cables and roads form one abnormal-ground condition for nearest-point relief.
Hole 12 fence relief
During hole 12, if the protective fence is on the line of play, the player may take relief without penalty under Model Local Rule E-6.
Out-of-bounds boundary hierarchy
OB is defined by boundary objects, white paint lines, white stakes or granite columns linked by steel cable, in the stated order of precedence.
Danger suspension procedure
When the committee suspends play for danger, players must stop immediately and go to shelter; the published immediate-suspension signal is a rocket.
Water features and hole 7 drop zone
Water channels, the Carol river, irrigation ditches and ornamental ponds at holes 5, 8, 9, 10 and 15 are penalty areas; an optional drop zone exists for balls in a penalty area when playing hole 7.
