Out of bounds and penalty areas
Out of bounds is marked by white stakes or lines. Penalty areas are marked by red and green stakes.
Dropping zones
Green dropping zones are designated at holes 7, 9, 14 and 18. For a ball crossing the penalty-area boundary between the green stakes at those holes, the dropping zone may be used with one penalty stroke.
Animal droppings
If animal droppings adhere to the ball or the ball lies in them, the ball may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and replaced within one scorecard length, except in penalty areas.
GUR and no-play zones
Ground under repair is marked by blue stakes and/or white boundaries. Red stakes with green caps at holes 5, 6 and 7 identify no-play zones.
