Out of bounds at holes 1, 3, 12 and 16
The road edge defines out of bounds on hole 12; marked white-stake areas are out of bounds on the right of holes 1 and 3 and left of hole 16.
Hole 13 penalty-area drop zone
For a ball in the red penalty area at hole 13, an additional one-stroke option is to use the marked drop zone to the right of the bridge.
Seasonal preferred lies
In April and October, one penalty-free placement is allowed within one club-length in fairway-height-or-lower general area, not nearer the hole.
Exposed roots at hole 16
When the ball is in fairway-height-or-lower general area at hole 16 and exposed roots interfere, free relief under Rule 16.1b is available.
Animal dung and leaf accumulation
Animal dung may be treated as loose impediment or GUR; temporary leaf accumulation anywhere in general area or a bunker is GUR.
Flooded bunkers
A bunker wholly or partly filled with water is treated as GUR, allowing free relief outside the bunker under Rule 16.1b.
