Out of bounds
Out of bounds is defined by white stakes or electric fences with white tops; electric fences are on holes 1, 2, 3, 6, 14, 15 and 16.
Penalty areas
Red penalty areas are marked by red stakes/plates; some red areas also allow the opposite-side relief option under Model Local Rule B-2.1. Yellow areas are marked by yellow stakes/plates. Listed red areas are on holes 1, 2, 7, 8, 11, 13 and 16.
Drop zone hole 12
For a ball in the penalty area on hole 12, the player may use the designated drop zone left of the road as an additional relief option with one penalty stroke.
Ground under repair
Ground under repair includes blue-staked or white/blue-lined areas, washed-out bunker ruts, gravel/sand-filled drainage strips, ant hills and designated sand areas on hole 13. Stance-only interference from drainage does not provide relief.
Immovable objects and electric fence relief
150-metre posts and stationary robot mowers in charging stations/on the course are immovable obstructions. Special relief is available when a ball is within two club-lengths of an electric boundary fence.
No-play zones
Newly planted trees with support stakes on hole 13 are no-play zones. If they interfere with the lie, stance or swing, relief under Rule 16.1f is mandatory.
Motorized transport restriction
During a competition round, players and caddies may not use motorized transport unless permitted by the committee. Exceptions apply to players born in 1951 or earlier and players with a home-club or SGF permit.
Suspension signals
A long signal means suspension for a dangerous situation; three repeated signals mean other suspension; two repeated signals mean resumption. Practice areas are closed during a dangerous-situation suspension.
