Fence boundaries
Fences define out of bounds on holes 13, 15, 16, 17 and part of 18; the boundary is the line between the course-side points of the fence posts at ground level.
Red penalty areas
The red penalty areas on the right of holes 4, 14 and 17 are defined as one-sided and extend infinitely.
Temporary preferred lie
When the local temporary rule is in force, a ball on fairway-height-or-lower turf may be placed within one scorecard length, not nearer the hole and remaining in the general area.

Protected areas Biotopes and no-play zones can remove the direct line and require rule-based relief. Boundary holes Out of bounds affects holes 9, 10 and 13–18, including roads and paths on 17 and 18.
