Old Course boundary
The fence to the left of hole 1 on the Old Course is part of the course boundary; no Rule 16.1 relief is available from it.
New Course hole 5 penalty area
The red artificial penalty area left of the fairway after the road on hole 5 of the New Course is bounded by the stone basket and inner side of the built palisades. Palisade tops are immovable obstructions; bridges over the area are wholly within the penalty area.
Motorized transport in competition
Motorized transport is prohibited during a competition round unless authorized, with the stated accessibility exception.
Stone walls and robot mowers
Stone walls and remains are integral objects. A robot mower that has stopped on the course or its charging station is an immovable obstruction with free relief under Rule 16.1.
