Local Rules
Gillingham: Out of Bounds
Beyond the course-side edge of boundary walls, fences or hedges, beyond white lines/stakes, specified practice areas, the car park/clubhouse, and on the other side of Woodlands Road is out of bounds under Rule 18.2.
Gillingham: Temporary Leaves Rule
Only when determined by the Committee, temporary leaf accumulation in specified holes/areas is treated as GUR with free relief under Rule 16.1.
Gillingham: Preferred Lies
Only when determined by the Committee, a ball in fairway-height-or-less general area may be placed once within six inches, not nearer the hole, following the stated replacement procedure.
Gillingham: Mark Lift Clean Replace
Only when determined by the Committee, a ball in the general area outside fairway-height-or-less areas may be marked, lifted, cleaned and replaced without penalty.
Gillingham: Internal Out of Bounds
When playing the 14th, the area left of the white line marked by white posts is out of bounds; those posts are boundary objects on the 14th and immovable obstructions on other holes.
Gillingham: Penalty Area
The pond alongside the 18th green is a red penalty area, defined by a red line or, if absent, the concrete edging; Rule 17.1d relief applies.
Gillingham: Abnormal Course Conditions
White-lined GUR, reseeded/re-turfed areas, removed tree-stump areas and grass tees when winter mats are in use are abnormal conditions requiring relief. Certain exposed tree roots are GUR as specified.
