Lakeside Ground Under Repair
Ground under repair is marked with blue stakes or blue/white ground lines. Gravel-covered drainage ditches and washed-out bunker areas are also treated as ground under repair.
Lakeside Integral Objects and Temporary Rules
Artificial slopes and close-fitting protective screens on trees are integral parts of the course. Temporary Local Rules are posted on the clubhouse notice board. Breach penalty is two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play.
Lakeside Immovable Obstructions
Protective screens at holes 1 and 2, artificially surfaced or woodchip roads and paths, and staked or guy-wired young trees are immovable obstructions. Individual woodchips are loose impediments; if the ball moves while removing one, replace it with one penalty stroke.
Lakeside Out of Bounds
Out of bounds is marked by white stakes or white ground lines. With stakes, the boundary is the course-side front edge at ground level; with a line, the line itself is out of bounds.
Lakeside Hole 2 Penalty Area
For a ball in or lost in the red penalty area at hole 2, an additional opposite-side drop option is available with one penalty stroke. The reference point is on the opposite side at the same distance from the hole as the estimated last crossing point; the relief area is two club-lengths, not nearer the hole and outside the same penalty area.

Lakeside Course Care and Safety Regulations
Players must replace divots and repair pitchmarks, keep carts and bags off tees and at least 4 metres from greens, not drive between bunkers and greens, rake bunkers and place rakes in the direction of play. Phones are for emergencies only; take care around pedestrians and cyclists at hole 17. Distance posts are measured to the front of the green.
