Hole 1 penalty-area drop zone
On hole 1, a ball known or virtually certain to be in the drainage-channel penalty area may use the marked drop zone with one penalty stroke.
Winter preferred lie
From 15 October through 30 April, a ball in the closely mown general area may be lifted, cleaned and placed within one scorecard length, not nearer the hole; from 1 May through 14 October it is played as it lies.
Hole 13 maintenance area out of bounds
On hole 13, the maintenance area to the right is out of bounds, defined by the inner playing face at ground level of its wooden boundary fence.
