Local Rules
Out of Bounds
OOB includes boundary fences/hedges/ditches, entrance road left of 2nd, specified white posts left of 1st/4th/8th/10th/11th/17th and right of 7th, plus 1st internal OOB applying from the 18th; internal posts are immovable when not applicable.
Protection of Young Trees
Staked or guarded young trees are no-play zones; if ball lies on/touches one or interferes with stance/swing outside a penalty area, mandatory Rule 17.1e relief applies.
Penalty Areas
Penalty areas are marked by yellow or red stakes; paths/bridges crossing a penalty area are part of the penalty area.
Abnormal Course Conditions
Immovable obstructions and all artificially surfaced roads or paths are abnormal course conditions under Rule 16.
Ground Under Repair and Penalty
Roped/marked GUR and stone-filled drainage ditches/channels are GUR. Local Rule breach penalty: two strokes in stroke play, loss of hole in match play.
