Players Equipment
Distance measuring devices may be used, but devices measuring wind, temperature or gradients are not permitted; breach of Rule 4.3 results in disqualification.
No Play Zones
Drainage slits and fairway-height cracks are treated as abnormal course conditions in the stated circumstances; relief is required or available under Rule 16.1f/16.1a.
Out of Bounds
Areas beyond course walls, fences, white lines or white stakes, the clubhouse patio, and beyond the boundary ditch left of holes 1 and 8 are out of bounds.
Penalty Areas
Penalty areas are marked by red or yellow stakes/lines and their edges follow natural boundaries; unmarked ditches are red penalty areas.
Penalty for Breach
The general penalty applies: loss of hole in match play and two strokes in stroke play.
Temporary Relief at Hole 18 Pond
If a ball is hit toward the pond at the top of the hill on hole 18 and cannot be found, the player may use the drop zone for one penalty stroke with playing-partner agreement.
