Local Rules
Rule 1: E-5 for lost ball or out of bounds
A player may use Model Local Rule E-5 with a two-stroke penalty for a lost ball or out of bounds, except in championships, stroke play and match play.
Rule 2: Relief on fairway and green
On the fairway and green only, Rule 16.1a may be applied and relief taken under Rule 16.1b.
Rule 3: Ball on the fairway
If it is known or virtually certain that a missing ball is on the fairway being played, another ball may be placed under Rule 16.1e; otherwise Rule 18.2 applies.
Rule 4: Ball striking rock
A ball visibly struck into a rock on the fairway may be placed nearest to the original spot.
Rule 5: Hole 3 dropping zone
The Hole 3 dropping zone must be used for the specified missing-ball or shore situations; the ball may be placed opposite the drop.
Rule 6: Immovable obstructions
All teeing areas, the bin by green 9, wooden bridges and plastic pipes before green 5 and Tee 9 are immovable obstructions with Rule 16.1 relief.
