Out of bounds and road boundary
For competitions, out of bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points of white stakes or property fence posts; the inside edge of a paved road or curb also defines out of bounds.
Penalty areas
For competitions, a penalty area defined on only one side extends to infinity; where connected to an out-of-bounds edge, it extends to and coincides with out of bounds.
Ground Under Repair
For competitions, Ground Under Repair is defined by white lines, and French drains are treated as Ground Under Repair even when not marked.
