The course’s identity is the contrast between inland strategy and the exposed final stretch by the ocean. Wind, marsh and narrow green targets make controlled positioning important, while the 17th and 18th provide the visual signature: beautiful, coastal holes where scenery competes with the shot at hand. Wild Dunes Links is an 18-hole public resort course on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, and Tom Fazio’s first solo design. The routing moves between wooded and marsh-side holes, dunes and oceanfront views, with coastal winds and changing terrain shaping the round.
