Placing on fairways
The placing rule applies as posted on the club notice board.
Water hazard markers
Water-hazard stakes are immovable obstructions from which relief is available only when the ball lies outside the hazard.
Dropping zones on holes 7 and 17
Relief from the hazards may be taken in the marked dropping zones with a one-stroke penalty.
Stones in bunkers
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions under Rule 24-1.
Distance-measuring devices
Only devices measuring distance may be used; devices designed to measure other playing conditions breach Rule 14-3 and result in disqualification.
Ground under repair
GUR includes areas around fixed irrigation equipment, vehicle tread marks, artificially surfaced cart paths and areas marked with white stakes or chalk lines; unpaved paths are integral parts of the course.
Embedded ball relief
A ball embedded in its own pitch mark outside sand may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty as near as possible to its original spot, not nearer the hole.
Out of bounds locations
Out of bounds includes the private property to the right of holes 1 and 2, and the area left of the boundary fence on holes 10 and 11.
Planted trees
A white-staked tree interfering with stance, lie or intended swing allows relief without penalty within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole.

Damaged putting greens
A ball on a damaged, grassless area of the putting green, or with such an area intervening on the line of play, may be lifted and placed at the nearest spot avoiding the damage, not nearer the hole.
