Priority for greens staff and public crossing
Greens staff have priority at all times. The public crossing the 4th fairway also has priority; wait until the crossing is clear before playing from the 4th tee.
Protected young trees
A staked or white-lined young tree is a no-play zone when it interferes with stance or swing, or when the ball lies in the marked area. Take relief without penalty within one club-length, not nearer the hole, under Rule 16.
Out of bounds and fixed boundary posts
Out of bounds is beyond walls, hedges, fences or white stakes, including the left of hole 6, roads behind the 10th and 18th greens, the entrance road right of hole 12, and the internal boundary left of hole 12. The 12th-hole boundary posts are fixed and provide no relief.
Sprinkler and hydrant cover relief
When a ball in the general area is within two club lengths of the putting green and a sprinkler cap or hydrant cover interferes with the line of play, relief without penalty is available at the nearest point of complete relief, subject to the stated limits.
