Boundary hierarchy
Boundaries are defined by walls, fences, white lines or white stakes; white lines take precedence, then white stakes.
Internal boundary holes 4 and 5
White and green stakes between holes 4 and 5 are out of bounds when playing hole 4 and immovable obstructions when playing hole 5.
Wall boundary reference
When a wall defines the boundary, the course-side face at ground level determines the out-of-bounds line.
Preferred lies on fairway
The club’s player notice permits preferred lies on the fairway under the one-card condition.
