Local Rules
Out of bounds and boundary fences
Out of bounds is marked by white stakes or fences forming the course boundary. Penalty areas are marked by yellow or red stakes.
Hole-specific drop zones
If a ball is in the penalty area before green 2, or beside or behind greens 9 or 18, and relief outside the penalty area is taken with a penalty stroke, the ball must be dropped in the marked drop zone.
GUR and winter greens
Abnormal course conditions are marked by blue stakes or white boundary lines. Winter greens are marked by blue stakes and their mowing edge defines the area; complete relief is required and no relief is given for stance-only interference.
No-play zones and integral palisades
Red stakes with green tops beside the ladies tee on hole 4 and flower beds at the terrace on hole 18 are no-play zones treated as abnormal course conditions. The no-play zones must not be entered. Palisades at ponds are integral parts of the course with no relief.
