Scorecard certification
For a competition round, submitting a scorecard without hole scores attested by the player, marker or both incurs the general penalty.
Out of bounds
The course boundary is marked by white posts; the boundary is defined by the line between their course-side points at ground level.
Penalty areas
Penalty areas are marked with red or yellow posts or plates; the island between holes 8 and 9 is part of a penalty area.
Hole 9 drop zone
For a ball in the hole 9 penalty area, the player may use the green-mat drop zone 50 metres left of the red tee as an additional one-stroke option.
Ground under repair
Areas marked by blue stakes, blue stakes with green tops, closed white lines, washed bunker channels and drainage strips are treated as ground under repair under the stated procedures.
Young trees no-play
Young trees identified by a support stake and/or blue-green stake are no-play zones; mandatory relief applies when they interfere with the ball, stance or swing.
Immovable objects
150-metre yellow-black posts, fairway distance markers, stone walls and stationary robot mowers are immovable obstructions.
Stone piles integrated
Stone piles are integrated objects, so Rule 16.1 relief does not apply.
Motorised transport in competition
Motorised transport is prohibited during a competition round unless the committee approves it; an exception applies to players with permission from their home club.

Weather suspension signals
A long signal means suspension for dangerous conditions; three repeated signals mean another suspension, and two repeated signals mean play resumes.
