Local Rules
Drainage ditches and exposed tree roots
Grass-covered drainage ditches and run-off areas alongside fairways are treated under the stated local relief rule. Exposed tree roots in the fairway or within four club-lengths of the fairway edge may qualify for free relief when they interfere with the stroke.
Integral course objects
All roads and paths except artificially surfaced ones, barbed wire attached to boundary fences and all fencing on the course are integral parts of the course.
Out of bounds locations
Out of bounds includes beyond boundary fences, white stakes or lines, the railway reserve, clubhouse/brick car park and specified cement ramps and subways on holes 6, 7 and 16.
Preferred lies
When the ball lies in the fairway, the player may place the original or another ball once within one club-length in the general area, no nearer the hole.
