Magallanes abnormal course conditions
Free relief is available for marked ground under repair, blue-staked trees or shrubs, certain tree wells, temporary water, machinery tracks, cart paths and animal holes. The gutter on the right of hole 9 is ground under repair, and blue-mesh protection may qualify for line-of-play relief under the stated procedure.
Magallanes out of bounds
The 2025 official Local Rules define out of bounds by the fences and walls surrounding the course and by areas marked with white stakes.
Magallanes embedded ball and bunkers
A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the general area receives free relief; the exception is that no relief is available in penalty areas or bunkers. A bunker unfit for play may be declared ground under repair when marked with a blue stake.
Magallanes immovable and movable obstructions
The Local Rules list signs, irrigation lines and covers, ponds at holes 4 and 8, tee benches, windbreaks, distance markers, concrete chambers, the clubhouse and hole-13 retaining structures as immovable obstructions. Movable artificial objects such as hoses and rakes may be removed without penalty.
Magallanes cart paths
For the abnormal-condition relief rule, cart paths are identified on the right side of hole 3, left side of hole 13, the climb at hole 5 and right side of hole 9.
Magallanes penalty areas
Penalty areas are marked red or yellow. The practice area and the river at hole 13 are red penalty areas; the path at hole 5 is also a red penalty area. Rule 17 relief options apply, including lateral relief only for red areas.
