Red stakes with green caps mark a no-play zone. For one penalty stroke, drop within two club-lengths of the point of entry, no nearer the hole.
Bulkhead relief
Relief from bulkheads is not available without penalty; the penalty area is defined by the inner edge of the greenside bulkhead.
Sprinkler near the green
A sprinkler within two club-lengths of the green and two club-lengths of the ball is an obstruction; complete relief is within one club-length, no nearer the hole.
Alternative relief for lost ball or out of bounds
Rule E-5 allows, for two penalty strokes, a drop in the area where the ball crossed and at the fairway edge, no nearer the hole.
