Local Rules
Out of bounds
Out of bounds includes beyond residential property, boundary/electric fences, white stakes, tarred road to the main gate, bowling greens, car park and tennis courts. Stroke-and-distance relief is not available as an option; an out-of-bounds shot must be replayed from the last position with one penalty stroke.
No preferred lies
Placing the ball is not allowed; the ball must be played as it lies.
Penalty areas
Yellow stakes define yellow penalty areas and red stakes define red penalty areas.
Roads, paths and tractor marks
A ball on a roadway, track, pathway or tractor tyre marks may be lifted and dropped without penalty within the relief area from the nearest reference point, not nearer the hole.
Stone walls and bridges
Stone walls and bridges outside the margin of the penalty area they cross are immovable obstructions.
Electric boundary fence
If the electric boundary fence interferes with the stroke, free relief is available using a reference point two club-lengths from the fence and equidistant from the hole.
Ground under repair
All ground under repair is marked with white paint.
Embedded ball
Free relief is allowed when a ball is embedded in the general area.
Sand bag compulsory
Use of a sand bag is compulsory.
