Drop zone hole 7
When the ball rests in the marked GUR between the path and fence left of hole 7, or on the paved path there, relief must be taken from the designated drop zone; it cannot be used for a ball in a penalty area.
Ground under repair
Blue stakes and/or white lines identify GUR; gravel beds are generally GUR.
Immovable and movable obstructions
Paved paths and marked plantings are immovable obstructions; red, blue and distance stakes are movable obstructions.
Penalty areas
Penalty areas are marked exclusively by red stakes.
Preferred lies Nov-Apr
From 1 November to 30 April, a ball on closely mown ground may be lifted, cleaned and placed within 15 cm, not nearer the hole, not in a hazard or on a green.
Provisional ball hole 11
If it is uncertain whether a ball crossed the penalty area right of hole 11 green or lies in the penalty area, a provisional ball may be played under Rule 17.1.
