Out of bounds boundaries
White stakes or fences mark out of bounds; specific course-side boundaries apply around holes 1, 3, 9, 10 and 14-18.
Penalty-area provisional ball
If it is uncertain whether a ball is in the penalty area on hole 10 or 12, a provisional ball may be played under the club’s modified procedure.
Prohibited play zone
The penalty area between holes 1 and 18 has red stakes with green caps and is a prohibited play zone; take relief under Rule 16.1f or 17.1e.
Ground under repair and obstructions
Blue stakes or white lines define ground under repair; mowing robots are immovable obstructions, and listed memorial stones/markers are also immovable obstructions.
Power line interference
If a ball is known or virtually certain to have struck a power line or pole within the course boundary, the stroke does not count; replay from the previous spot without penalty.
