Out of bounds
Out of bounds is marked by white stakes, fences or walls; the club road and main road are also out of bounds.
Penalty areas
Penalty areas are marked by yellow or red stakes or lines.
No-play zones
Green-topped stakes mark no-play zones; applicable relief under Rule 16.1f or 17.1e is required.
Distance markers
Distance markers to the front of the green are 200m white, 150m yellow and 100m red.
Public-road crossings
Public roads cross holes 15 and 17; players must take care.
Hole 12 bell
Players must operate the bell at the crossing near hole 12.
Hole 17 traffic light
Players must operate the traffic-light system at hole 17.

Major Risks
Protected areas Biotopes and no-play zones can remove the direct line and require rule-based relief. Boundary holes Out of bounds affects holes 9, 10 and 13–18, including roads and paths on 17 and 18.
