Out of bounds and electric fences
White fences, stakes and lines define out of bounds. Where white posts are next to an electric fence, the fence itself defines the boundary; free relief is available within two club-lengths under the stated procedure.
Drop zones A2, A8 and B9
Additional drop zones apply for penalty areas on A2 left of the bridge, A8 behind the ditch, and B9 at the right and behind the green.
Prohibited play zones
Green-headed stakes identify prohibited play zones. Entry and play from them are forbidden; red-green stakes use Rule 16/17 relief and white-green stakes are out of bounds.
Ground under repair and immovable obstructions
White lines, blue stakes or grids identify ground under repair; tractor tracks behind B3 are included. Listed distance markers, fences, ant hills and other specified objects are immovable obstructions.
Mowing robots
Mowing robots are immovable obstructions. Take free relief when they interfere with ball, stance or swing; if they move the ball, replace it at the original spot.
