Out of bounds: stone walls
Stone walls along holes 13, 14 and 15 define out of bounds.
Stone walls defining greens
Stone walls defining greens are treated as penalty areas.
Bushveld penalty areas
All demarcated red-staked bushveld areas are red penalty areas; the edge begins where maintained mowing stops, subject to the cart-path boundary wording.
Hole-specific drop zones
Additional relief drop zones are available on holes 5, 7, 9, 16 and 18.
Ground under repair
Gardens, newly sodded areas and newly planted staked trees are defined as GUR.
Immovable obstructions
Sculptures, bridges, cart paths, roads and the clubhouse are immovable obstructions.
Provisional ball on holes 16 and 18
Under Model Local Rule B3, if uncertain whether the ball is in the penalty area on hole 16 or 18, a provisional ball may be played under Rule 18.3.
Wildlife and bushveld safety
The estate and course are wildlife habitat including leopards, venomous snakes and crocodiles; stay out of bushveld and bodies of water and remain vigilant.

The course experience is shaped by wildlife, bushveld and careful hazard management. Keep away from demarcated bushveld and water, respect the wildlife warnings, and use the published hole-specific penalty-area and drop-zone rules when they apply.
