Lipperswil Ground Under Repair
Ground under repair is marked by blue stakes or white lines. Playing from all marked GUR areas and young plantings is prohibited; the player must take free relief under Rule 16.
Lipperswil Immovable Obstructions and Measuring Devices
Distance posts and Thuja distance trees, supported trees, wires, fences, protective grids, artificial-surface roads/paths and drainage features are immovable obstructions when they interfere with stance or swing, giving free Rule 16 relief. Electronic measuring devices are allowed unless a tournament notice says otherwise. Distance markings are to the front of the green.
Lipperswil Out of Bounds
White stakes or lines mark out of bounds, with lines taking priority. The clubhouse, pitching green and putting green are out of bounds. The Local Rules also specify special out-of-bounds treatment for Schwarzebach holes 1, 2, 3 and 9, including the protective-net posts and the relationship between holes 1 and 9.
Lipperswil Penalty Areas
Penalty areas are marked by red or yellow stakes and/or lines, with lines taking priority. A dropping zone applies behind green 1 on Schwarzebach. On hole 18, the penalty-area boundary left of the green follows the green-side edge of the stone blocks, which are inside the penalty area; relief is under Rule 16 as specified.
