Preferred lies
Preferred lies may be used in the player’s fairway and first cut around greens; weekend events and senior Wednesday events have separate stated scopes.
Large dirt patches
Relief at the closest point, no nearer the hole, is available from a large dirt patch in the fairway or green area.
Fences near homes
Fences near homes are out of bounds and do not provide free relief.
Driving range fence and net relief
Free relief of one club length, no nearer the hole, applies from the driving-range fence and net.
Hole 15 protective net relief
Free relief no nearer the hole applies from the protective net on hole 15.
Restrooms swing relief
The restrooms between holes 12 and 13 allow one-club swing relief with the building kept in line with the green; no line-of-sight relief.
Cart path between holes 13 and 14
The cart path between holes 13 and 14 provides free relief at the closest point of relief.
Tree wells and roots
A tree well allows one-club relief no nearer the hole; a tree root allows relief at the closest point of relief.
Drainage ditch out of bounds
The drainage ditch between holes 13 and 14 is out of bounds.
Rocks in bunkers
Rocks around the ball in bunkers may be removed under this local rule.
