Fixed obstructions
Buggy paths, stone walls, roads, artificial surfaces, ruins, wells, bridges and staked trees are immovable obstructions.
Out of bounds
White stakes or lines define out of bounds; boundary roads, fences and interior estate roads are out of bounds.
Penalty areas
Yellow stakes or lines mark water hazards and red stakes or lines mark lateral water hazards.
Ground under repair
Blue stakes and lines or GUR signs mark ground under repair; relief is without penalty.
Overhead cables
If a ball hits an overhead electric cable, the stroke is cancelled and replayed without penalty.
