Penalty areas
Red penalty areas are marked by red stakes or plates. The red penalty area left of hole 6 on the red loop is infinite, and some boundaries follow the contours of ditches and lake edges.
Out of bounds and boundary markings
Out of bounds is marked by white stakes. On the right of hole 4 and the white-loop hole 7, the white-marked posts forming the electric boundary fence define out of bounds.
Electric boundary fence relief
When a ball is on the course within two club-lengths of the electric boundary fence on the specified holes, the player may take free relief under Rule 16.1 using the defined reference point two club-lengths from the fence and equidistant from the hole.
Course marking meanings
White stakes mean out of bounds; red stakes/plates mean red penalty area; blue stakes/plates or white lines mean ground under repair; blue/white or green-topped blue stakes mean ground under repair with a no-play zone.

Major Risks
Protected areas Biotopes and no-play zones can remove the direct line and require rule-based relief. Boundary holes Out of bounds affects holes 9, 10 and 13–18, including roads and paths on 17 and 18.
