Out of bounds
Out of bounds are defined by white paint lines, white stakes, the inside edge at ground level of boundary-fence posts, and the inside edge at ground level of walls supporting fences or defining the course.
Ground under repair – hole 7
The partially ruined area left of hole 7, approximately 135 metres from the green and enclosed by ropes, is ground under repair from which play is prohibited. Relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f(2) when the area or the intended stance/swing interferes.
Penalty area – holes 4 and 5
The drainage channel left of holes 4 and 5, immediately before the out-of-bounds wall, is a penalty area whether or not it is marked as such.

Protected areas Biotopes and no-play zones can remove the direct line and require rule-based relief. Boundary holes Out of bounds affects holes 9, 10 and 13–18, including roads and paths on 17 and 18.
