Local Rules
Spielverbotszonen
Areas marked with green-headed stakes are no-play zones; relief under Rule 16 or 17 is required.
Ground under repair
Ground under repair is marked by white or blue lines and/or blue stakes; certain reseeded turf, gravel-filled drainage channels and animal holes also qualify.
Penalty areas
Where an artificial wall borders a water area, the water-side edge defines the penalty-area boundary; ponds on holes 2 and 15 and ditch crossings are listed.
Railway safety
When the Teutoburger-Wald-Eisenbahn approaches, play must stop immediately on holes 6, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 1.
Permanent no-play zones
Flower beds on holes 11 and 17 and the railway embankment are permanent no-play zones; the embankment may not be entered except at crossings.
Wrong greens
Winter greens and summer greens are wrong greens depending on which surface is in play; the outer mowing edge defines the boundary.
Power lines
If it is known or virtually certain that a ball hit an overhead line or its mast, the stroke does not count and must be replayed from the previous spot.
Drop zone hole 1
For a ball in the red penalty area behind hole 1 green, a drop zone behind and right of the green is an additional relief option with one penalty stroke.
Drop zone hole 9
For the red no-play zone right of hole 9 green, the additional drop zone is before and right of the green with one penalty stroke.
Drop zone hole 17
For the red no-play zone behind hole 17 green, the additional drop zone is behind and right of the green with one penalty stroke.
Path relief hole 9
On the paved path by hole 9 green, free relief under Rule 16 is available, with an additional drop-zone option before and right of the green.
Immovable obstruction relief
Modified F-5.2 relief applies near the green when the ball and obstruction meet the stated fairway/green, distance and line-of-play conditions.
