Local Rules
Out of bounds and internal boundaries
Out of bounds is marked by white lines, stakes and boundary fences; internal out of bounds applies on the left of holes 7 and 13 and is marked by green-and-white stakes.
Immovable obstructions
The club defines specific paths, shelters, distance plates, irrigation heads, ball washers, signs, protective fences, drainage channels and other listed fixtures as immovable obstructions; stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.
Ground under repair
Ground under repair is marked by white circles or blue stakes; fresh turf and gravel-filled drainage trenches are also ground under repair. Relief is not granted when only stance is affected by animal holes or runs.
Embedded ball
An embedded ball in its own pitch mark through the course may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty as near as possible to its original spot, not nearer the hole.
Power lines
If a ball strikes an overhead power line, the stroke is cancelled and the player must play a ball under the applicable procedure.
Distance measuring devices
Only devices measuring distance may be used; using a device capable of measuring other playing conditions breaches the stated local rule and carries disqualification.
