Internal out of bounds
Internal out-of-bounds applies left of hole 4, right of hole 5 and left of hole 18.
Preferred lies
When in effect, the ball is placed on closely mown ground within one scorecard length, no nearer the hole.
Drop zones holes 8 and 9
Red penalty areas on holes 8 and 9 allow the normal Rule 17.1d options or an additional drop zone with one penalty stroke.
Drop zone hole 12
For the red penalty area behind hole 12 green, use stroke-and-distance or the drop zone behind the green with one penalty stroke; back-on-line and lateral relief are unavailable.
No-play lake liners
Parts of artificial lakes covered by waterproof lining are no-play zones; access is prohibited and mandatory relief applies.
Stone walls
All stone walls are integral parts of the course, so free relief is not available.
GUR
Blue stakes, construction-disturbed ground, deep vehicle ruts, drainage ditches, bunker water grooves, new turf, turf seams and wild-boar damage qualify as ground under repair.
Immovable obstructions
Short trees, paths and ditches, bins, ball washers, benches, sprinklers, signs, and chain/rope barriers are listed as immovable obstructions.
Marker posts
If a ball hits a red-and-white game-line marker post on listed fairways, replay the stroke without penalty or play the ball as it lies.
Hole 5 bell
Players on hole 5 must ring the bell before entering the green; players on the tee must wait for the bell before starting.

Major Risks
Protected areas Biotopes and no-play zones can remove the direct line and require rule-based relief. Boundary holes Out of bounds affects holes 9, 10 and 13–18, including roads and paths on 17 and 18.

Treat marked boundaries and protected zones as strategic constraints. Use conservative targets near water and woodland edges. Keep the approach angle predictable on the undulating greens. Position first, then attack

30-second Pre-round Brief
Before tee-off Review the marked out-of-bounds holes, especially 17 and 18. Boundaries Never play from or enter a green-headed no-play zone. Biotopes Know the hole 4 drop-zone condition before choosing relief. Water Enjoy the scenery, but let the marked boundaries and protected areas dictate the safe line.
