Distance markers
Red markers are 100 m, white 150 m and black 200 m to the front of the green; par-3 tee distances are to the centre of the green.
Out of bounds
The outer boundary is the surrounding fence; internal out of bounds apply on holes 14 and 15 along the road-side edge.
Hole 11 penalty area
When uncertain whether the ball is in hole 11 penalty area, a provisional ball may be played under Rule 17-1.d; the rule specifies which ball must be used depending on the result.
Mandatory drop zone on hole 13
For the right-of-green penalty area on hole 13, relief is limited to stroke-and-distance or the marked drop zone; normal lateral options are not allowed.
Immovable obstructions
Trees with support wires or stakes and channels covered with stone or sand are treated as immovable obstructions.
Ground under repair markings
Ground under repair is identified by white paint and/or blue stakes; ornamental flower beds are also treated as ground under repair, but grass clippings under trees are not.
Preferred lies
In the closely mown general area, one-time relief by placing is allowed after marking the original position; place within one card length, no nearer the hole and not in a hazard or on a green.

Course Character
The course combines a peaceful oak-woodland environment with demanding fairways and well-regarded greens. The official local rules make holes 11 and 13 especially important before play. Major Risks
Demanding fairway lines Golfer feedback describes the areas outside the fairway as demanding, so position from the tee matters more than simply chasing distance. Hole 11 penalty area The official rule defines a special provisional-ball procedure and a restricted drop-zone use for the hole 11 penalty area.
