Local Rules
Cart paths and maintenance roads
All roads and paths on the course, even if not artificially surfaced, are treated as immovable obstructions. Free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1b and Model Local Rule F-17.
Out of bounds
Out of bounds is defined by white stakes on holes 1, 2 and 3, and by the white fence on holes 1, 12, 13 and 18. The boundary is the course-side edge at ground level; the penalty is stroke and distance under Rule 18.2a.
Alternative out-of-bounds or lost-ball relief
As an alternative for an out-of-bounds or lost ball, a player may drop in the area between where the ball is estimated to have come to rest or gone out of bounds and the edge of the fairway, up to two club-lengths into the fairway, for a two-stroke penalty. This does not apply to an unplayable ball or a ball known or virtually certain to be in a penalty area. Model Local Rule E-5 applies.
Wrong green
If a ball lies on a wrong green or its fringe, free relief is required under Rule 13.1f and Model Local Rule D-4.2.
Roots
If a ball lies on or near a root located in the fairway or within four club-lengths of the edge of the fairway, free relief may be taken under Rule 16.1b and Model Local Rule F-9. Other roots must be played as they lie or treated under the unplayable-ball rule.
Waste areas
Prepared sand areas on holes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are part of the general area and are not bunkers. Relief is not available for footprints, hoof prints or an embedded ball in these waste areas.

Extensive damage due to rain and traffic
Areas of unusual damage to the course, such as deep ruts caused by vehicles, are Ground Under Repair. Free relief is allowed under Model Local Rule F-4.
